W
elcome to the District Conference Web Site!

Dear Fellow Rotarians,

Welcome to the 2010 District Conference web page. I, along with District Conference Committee Chair Larry Rice and his committee, have been very busy preparing for what we hope will be one of the most dynamic and interactive District Conferences we’ve had in some time. You will notice I use the word “hope.” No matter how well we plan for a Conference, it will not be a success without Rotarian (your) participation.

I have received many suggestions in the past two years on what type of Conference the Rotarians in our District want. This is why this year we will have both a land and sea component to the Conference.

This year, we will have a traditional land Conference on the first day, thereby allowing those who do not cruise or do not have the time to take to be on the cruise, can experience a Rotary District Conference at the lowest cost possible.

Speaking of cost, there is no registration fee to attend the land portion of the Conference. All we ask is that those who plan to attend the Plenary Sessions, even if they are not joining us for the meals, register so we know they are coming and our team can prepare a welcome package for them. The registration for the land component is now open! Click here to learn how.

Our District Luncheon will honor distinguished Rotarians who have served for more than a generation and our Governor’s Banquet will be a very special night as we recognize outstanding club and Rotarian achievement in this Rotary year.

Rotary International President John Kenny’s representative to our Conference is Past Rotary International Director (1997-1999) Carl S. Rosenbaum. Our District is fortunate to have a President's Representative with the Rotary service experience and personal vocational experience he has. Click on the link at the top of this page for his bio.

Jacki and I look forward very much to seeing many of you and sharing a wonderful Rotary experience with you at what we hope to be the very best District Conference ever.
